jason beebe, president
Jason joined the CASA Board in 2010. He has worked in banking for 16 years and currently serves as a District Manager for Fifth Third Bank. Jason was a long time resident of Charlotte, and more recently joined the Eaton Rapids community. His bond with CASA's mission stems from his adoption at a young age into a large loving family. He possesses an incredible dedication to the CASA Board and his management strengths and commitment have served to navigate and support CASA though transition, development, and growth.
karen hosler, VICE PRESIDENT
Karen Hosler joined the CASA Board in 2016. She is an IT Project Manager at Jackson National, where she has worked for 15 years She manages a wide variety of projects providing leadership, organization, team development and timely project results. She currently resides in Haslett, and was an active volunteer for over 20 years in her previous community of East Lansing. Her interest in helping kids in foster care drew her to our organization. Karen earned her undergraduate degree in Business Management and Organizational Development, and brings capabilities in strategic planning, solid skills in management and program planning and execution experience. Her favorite pastime is playing with her grandkids, and relaxes by reading and knitting.
Jessica Fox, Treasurer
Jessica S. Fox joined the CASA Board in 2009. Jessica is an attorney at Nolan, Thomsen & Villas, P.C. in Eaton Rapids, Michigan. Her primary practice areas are Family Law and Probate/Estate Planning. Jessica currently lives in Charlotte, but was born in Hastings, where her extended family still resides. Jessica began volunteering in high school to serve community meals to individuals once a week and has continued to volunteer for different organizations ever since. Jessica is honored to serve on the board of a number of organizations. When not practicing law or attending board meetings she likes to take photographs, scrapbook, and run.
DAN NOWISKI, SECRETARY
Dan Nowiski joined the CASA Board in 2016. Dan has worked for Community of Christ in Michigan since June 2012. Currently Dan serves a member of the Mission Center President team with a focus on administrative support to congregations, campgrounds, pastors, and ministry leaders. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master of Arts in Religion. His partner Abby is a Speech Language Pathologist in the Lansing School District. Together they serve as therapeutic foster parents for abused or neglected children who are transitioning to permanent families. They also serve as PRIDE co-trainers, assist in facilitating the Ingham County meeting of the Faith Communities Coalition on Foster Care, and participate on the Ingham Co. Michigan Youth Opportunities Initiative Community Partners Board. Dan is also a Professional Registered Parliamentarian.
Jon Zamora, Board Member
Jon Zamora joined the CASA Board in 2012. Jon and his wife Shelly are 14 year residents of Eaton Rapids coming previously from Lansing. Jon and Shelly's family consists of five children and 6 grand children. Jon is a Manager with KPMG LLP's advisory practice bringing his 25+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT), consulting, and process development to CASA's Board. Jon and Shelly have become part of the CASA team because they believe that each child deserves a loving family and a chance at a fulfilling life. Jon and his wife bring endless positive energy and innovation to CASA. John's hobbies include traveling, auctioneering, and spending time with family.
CHERYL WILLIAMS-HECKSEL, BOARD MEMBER
Cheryl Williams-Hecksel joined CASA’s Board in 2017. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a filed instructor for the MSU School Social Work. Prior to joining the faculty at MSU, Cheryl spent more than 25 years in clinical and administrative roles in public and private child welfare and mental health agencies. She is involved in MSU’s work with the National Child Welfare Workforce Institute, and she is the coordinator of the School’s Evidence Based Trauma Treatment Certificate. Her work includes consultation with child serving agencies around their capacity to become trauma-informed. She provides frequent professional continuing education related to ethics, supervision and child trauma. She resides in Lansing with her husband Phil.
BECKY GAYLOR, BOARD MEMBER
Becky Gaylor joined the CASA Board in 2018. She grew up in Delton, MI and is now a resident of Hastings, MI. Becky graduated with her B.S. in Science from Grand Valley State University with an emphasis in Psychology and a minor in Sociology in 2014. Becky currently is Branch Manager at Highpoint Community Bank located in Hastings, MI and has been there for nearly 7 years. Given Becky’s education and involvement in her community, CASA’s mission is a perfect match. In her off time, if Becky’s not in the gym weightlifting, she is most likely home with her 3 year old Rottweiler.
